About the client
We are partnering with a high-growth wealth / asset manager to hire a Senior Finance Manager for a broad, hands-on finance role. Reporting to the CFO and leading a small team, you will oversee day-to-day finance operations and group reporting, while strengthening processes and controls to support the firm’s growth.
Key responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Control: Oversee day-to-day finance operations, month-end and year-end closing, and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial controls.
- Group Consolidation & Management Reporting: Manage group consolidation and management reporting, providing financial insights and supporting the CFO with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- MAS Financial Reporting & Capital Adequacy: Oversee MAS financial returns and monitor the licensed entity’s capital adequacy and financial resources, working closely with Compliance to meet applicable regulatory requirements.
- Audit, Tax & Statutory Compliance: Manage statutory financial statements, external audits, tax provisioning and filings, liaising with auditors and advisors to ensure timely compliance across the group.
- Team Leadership & Process Improvement: Lead and develop a small finance team while improving finance systems, controls and processes to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, with a CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience, including prior Big 4 training, ideally with subsequent experience in a licensed asset or wealth management firm.
- Strong technical accounting skills, with prior hands-on consolidation experience required, alongside experience in financial closing and management reporting.
- Hands-on experience in MAS financial reporting and regulatory capital monitoring for CMS-licensed entities; relevant banking experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience managing statutory audits, external auditors, tax compliance and financial reporting obligations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory data and translate findings into practical insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across regional and global teams.
- Experience leading a small finance team and improving financial processes and controls.
