Responsibilities
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to drive room revenue, occupancy, and market share through proactive business development and account management. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, securing group bookings, managing client relationships, and achieving revenue targets across corporate, government, MICE, travel trade, wholesale, leisure, and long-stay segments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Identify and secure new business opportunities to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and client visits.
Focus on group sales, corporate accounts, government sectors, MICE, travel trade, leisure, and long-stay business.
Prepare proposals, quotations, room blocks, contracts, and negotiate commercial terms.
Conduct hotel presentations, site inspections, and familiarization trips.
Participate in trade shows, networking events, roadshows, and sales missions.
Account Management
Manage existing key accounts and develop new corporate partnerships.
Maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and account growth.
Monitor account production and implement strategies to maximize revenue contribution.
Revenue & Market Performance
Support achievement of occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR targets.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and business opportunities.
Work closely with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, and Operations teams to optimize business performance.
Assist in forecasting room nights and future business opportunities.
OTA & Distribution Support
Monitor OTA performance including *************, Agoda, Expedia, and *************
Support initiatives to improve hotel visibility, occupancy, and revenue through online channels.
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate client records and sales activities in the CRM/sales system.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates.
Attend regular sales meetings and provide market intelligence.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in corporate and group sales.
Proven track record in business development and revenue generation.
Experience handling corporate, government, MICE, travel trade, or leisure segments.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Good understanding of hotel KPIs including ADR, RevPAR, Occupancy, and Revenue Management principles.
Familiarity with OTAs such as Expedia, Agoda, *************, and *************
Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
