About Hivebotics
Hivebotics is a Singapore robotics company that designs, builds and deploys robots for real-world use. We are a small, fast-moving team, and our Operations function is what turns engineering designs into robots delivered to customer sites on time.
The Role
As our Operations Executive, you will report to our Head of Operations. You will make sure the right parts, suppliers, schedules and shipments are in place so our robots get built and delivered on time. The role is hands-on and covers the full chain from purchase order to deployment site.
What You Will Do
- Daily operations and planning: Coordinate day-to-day operations and manufacturing/assembly activities. Make sure materials, manpower and resources are in place to meet build and delivery schedules.
- Procurement and inventory: Run the end-to-end procurement process and keep accurate records of components, spare parts, consumables and equipment. Do regular stock checks and replenish critical parts before they hold up a build.
- Contract manufacturer and supplier management: Work with contract manufacturers and component suppliers on cost, lead time and quality. Source and onboard new partners, support pricing negotiations, track delivery performance and look for cost savings.
- Shipment and delivery: Plan inbound and outbound shipments with freight forwarders, couriers and logistics partners so robots and parts reach customers and deployment sites on schedule.
- Process improvement: Write and improve SOPs for procurement, inventory and daily operations to cut down on recurring issues.
- Cross-functional coordination and reporting: Work with production, engineering and finance to understand build requirements. Track build costs against target, and report regularly to management on build progress, costs, shipments, procurement, inventory and key issues.
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
- 2 to 3 years of experience in operations, planning, procurement or a similar role, preferably in robotics, electronics or manufacturing with exposure to product build or assembly
- Hands-on experience with contract manufacturers and component suppliers: sourcing, comparing quotations, supporting price negotiations and raising purchase orders
- Familiarity with technical components such as electronics, sensors, motors or mechanical parts (a strong advantage)
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple orders and deadlines while keeping records accurate
- Good negotiation and communication skills with internal teams and external partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with ERP, inventory or accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Odoo, Xero) is a plus
- Proactive, resourceful and comfortable owning problems end to end, including ad hoc operational needs
Why Join
- Build and run the operations backbone of a growing robotics company
- Work directly with the Head of Operations and alongside engineering, production and finance
- See your work go out the door as real robots deployed at customer sites
