Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bank transactions, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP) and reconciliations.
Maintain full sets of accounts for assigned entities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, accruals and month-end closing.
Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review.
Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
Prepare GST returns.
Liaise with external auditors and tax agents on audit and tax matters.
Assist with statutory compliance and year-end audit requirements.
Support improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
At least five years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in shipping, maritime or commodity trading is an advantage.
Ability to handle full sets of accounts with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of Singapore GST.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Xero accounting software.
