WE’RE HIRING: ASSISTANT ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Location: Taman Perling

Basic Salary: Depending on experience

Working Days: Monday – Friday (5 days | 9:00am - 6:00pm)

We are looking for Assistant Accounting Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The Assistant Accounting Manager will oversee the Group’s daily accounting operations and support the timely preparation of accurate financial reports. The role will supervise the accounting team, coordinate month-end closing, and ensure accounting records, reconciliations and supporting documents are properly maintained.

The position will also support the Senior Finance Manager in Group reporting, audit, tax compliance and the financial integration of newly acquired entities.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes

2. Review management accounts, general ledger entries and supporting schedules

3. Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete and submitted within deadlines

4. Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and bank reconciliations

5. Review supplier invoices, payment requisitions, staff claims and supporting documents

6. Coordinate audit schedules and supporting documents for annual statutory audits

7. Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts

8. Support the financial integration of newly acquired entities

9. Allocate work and monitor the team’s completion of assigned tasks

10. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting and internal controls

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

2. At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience

3. Strong experience in full-set accounts, month-end closing and financial reporting

4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

5. ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification is an advantage

6. Experience in a multi-entity or Group accounting environment is preferred

7. Open to local Malaysian only
