Working Hours

Work shall be carried out during the office hours indicated below:

• Monday to Thursday: 0830 hours to 1745 hours

• Friday: 0830 hours to 1715 hours

• 5 days per week, except Public Holidays

Job Responsibilities

The appointed personnel shall be responsible for carrying out the following duties:

1. Basic Understanding of Aquatic Systems or Aquaculture
   Personnel to have basic understanding of aquatic systems or aquaculture.

2. Daily Care
   Feeding zebrafish, including food preparation (live or dry food).

3. Tank Cleaning & Sanitization
   Routine cleaning of tanks, systems, and equipment to prevent contamination.

4. Breeding Support
   Assisting with spawning setups, egg collection, and larval rearing.

5. Health Monitoring
   Observing fish for signs of disease, stress, or abnormalities and reporting to supervisors.

6. Waste Management
   Proper disposal of biological waste and adherence to biosafety protocols.

7. Cleaning and Disinfection
   Cleaning and disinfection of tanks, tools, nets, and equipment.

8. Euthanasia Assistance
   Assisting in euthanasia according to ethical guidelines.

9. Safety Compliance
   Following lab safety procedures, including chemical handling and emergency protocols.

10. General Maintenance and Upkeep
    General maintenance and upkeep of the Zebrafish Facility.

11. Replacement Personnel Requirement
    Vendor shall send replacement personnel if the scheduled worker fails to turn up.

General Requirements

The personnel assigned to this service shall:

• Have basic understanding of aquatic systems or aquaculture.

• Be able to carry out the assigned duties according to the required working schedule.

• Follow the relevant workplace procedures, safety requirements and instructions.

• Maintain proper cleanliness and hygiene within the designated areas.

• Be responsible and punctual in reporting for work.

• Work cooperatively with the Zebrafish Facility team and other relevant personnel.

• Ensure that all assigned duties are carried out properly and in a timely manner.
