Science and Mathematics Assistant (Primary School – Punggol) x1

Monthly Salary: $2,400

Contract Period: January–December 2027 (12 months)

Contract Extension: Option to extend for another 12 months

Working Hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–5:00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

• Friday: 7:30am–4:30pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)

Working Days: Monday–Friday

Rest Days: Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Lunch breaks may be reduced to 30 minutes, with the end time adjusted accordingly, or starting times may be changed to meet operational requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare Science apparatus for experiments and return equipment to storage after lessons.

• Organise and maintain Mathematics and Science resources in designated cupboards and laboratories.

• Perform simple, non-technical repairs and minor maintenance of equipment, teaching aids and resource materials.

• Work with teachers to prepare simple manipulatives and other materials for Mathematics and Science programmes.

• Support photography and video recording for departmental programmes, activities and teaching resources.

• Assist the Mathematics and Science Departments with the preparation of recess activities.

• Provide administrative support as assigned by the school.

• Assist with developing and maintaining stock lists and conducting annual stocktaking.

• Coordinate the return and collection of Mathematics and Science desk copies from teachers.

Job Requirements

• Experience working in a school environment, particularly in providing Mathematics or Science-related support, is preferred.

• Good command of English, including listening, speaking, reading and writing.

• Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Able to work independently and achieve assigned tasks and goals.

• Proactive in seeking clarification when required.
