Accountabilities:

1. Oversee the middle-office and backend infrastructure of the investment department, ensuring seamless operational execution and trade support.
2. Coordinate and support Asset-Liability Management (ALM/ALMIC) strategies, regulatory reporting, and duration matching requirements.
3. Manage compliance monitoring, risk management frameworks (including KRIs), and adherence to internal Investment Policy Statements (IPS) and BNM/Shariah regulations.
4. Prepare and review executive-level reports, performance analytics, and governance documentation for Management Committees, Investment Committees, and the Board of Directors.
5. Drive operational efficiency by streamlining investment workflows, cash planning alignment, and vendor/fund manager administrative oversight.
6. Partner cross-functionally with finance, actuarial, risk, and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and operational infrastructure updates.

Who you are:

• Proven track record within the Malaysian insurance, Takaful, or institutional fund management sector, specializing in middle-office investment operations, investment compliance, actuarial valuation, or treasury backend functions.
• Hands-on technical experience with Asset-Liability Management (ALM/ALMIC) frameworks, regulatory reporting (BNM / Shariah guidelines), and Risk-Based Capital (RBC) structures.
• Strong familiarity with investment management systems (IM systems), portfolio administration tools, trade reconciliation workflows, and Bloomberg/market data platforms.
• Strong analytical rigor, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in financial data processing, performance attribution, and cash-flow/liquidity tracking.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across departments and present technical data clearly to senior leadership and Board committees.
