Job Description

YOGA CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. undertakes subcontracting works involving fibre-optic telecommunications, cable installation, solar energy projects and electrical installation. We are seeking a technically competent Fibre Optic Telecommunications Technician to support our telecommunications installation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fibre-optic cable installation, routing, termination and connection works at project sites.

• Perform fibre-optic cable testing, continuity checks and troubleshooting.

• Assist with fibre-optic splicing and testing using appropriate tools and equipment.

• Conduct cable identification, inspection and fault rectification.

• Read and follow technical drawings, cable layouts and installation specifications.

• Prepare testing records, site progress reports and relevant technical documentation.

• Coordinate with project supervisors, engineers and other site personnel to complete work according to project schedules.

• Follow workplace safety requirements and the company's quality standards.

Requirements

• Relevant hands-on experience in fibre-optic installation, termination and testing.

• Practical knowledge of fibre-optic tools, testing equipment and cable installation methods.

• Ability to interpret basic technical drawings and installation instructions.

• Ability to identify and troubleshoot fibre-optic cable faults.

• Willingness to work at project sites and support operational requirements.

• Relevant technical certification or training will be an advantage.
