Forward Deployed Engineer – Senior Level 

Salary Offered: RM 12,000 - RM 13,500

The right candidate will be involved in designing and implementing agentic systems with both autonomous and semi-autonomous agents to support delivery for government and public sector clients. The key activities involves establishing patterns, guardrails, and governance to enable scalable solutions across multiple engagement and building agents that transform work into repeatable capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop reference architectures, tools, and reusable patterns for agentic delivery for public sector agencies.
• Create robust evaluation frameworks, observability tools, and guardrails to ensure agent behaviour is measurable, safe, and reliable in production
• Ensure and build governance for autonomy levels, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and escalation protocols, especially in regulated environments
• Lead and collaborate with teams for agentic engineering best practices
• Lead technical discovery, scope agentic AI use cases, and translate business problems into engineering deliverables with measurable success criteria such as cycle-time reduction, support deflection, automation rate, security and governance success rate and adoption rate.
• Design target architectures that fit the client's environment, regulatory posture and platform preferences, selecting the right substrate per engagement across hyperscaler AI services, ServiceNow and other enterprise AI platforms.
• Write production-grade code to deliver the solution, working inside the client's source control, CI/CD and deployment infrastructure, and within enterprise release governance including change approvals, separation of duties, audit evidence and rollback planning.
• Build and tune retrieval pipelines, prompt architecture, guardrails, agent orchestration and human-in-the-loop controls that hold under real production variation.
• Implement enterprise-safe agent tool execution, including permission scoping, approval gates, audit trails and rollback paths for any agent action that touches systems of record.
• Build evaluation suites that catch hallucinations, regressions, grounding gaps and quality drift, and implement production observability for latency, token usage, error rates, accuracy and output drift.
• Integrate solutions with client identity, secrets management, network controls, incident response and compliance tooling.

Prerequisites

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong experience in delivering enterprise class business applications.
• 2+ years shipping AI or machine learning systems into production, with demonstrated hands-on agentic or LLM-based work.
• Hand on experience on full stack development tools and technologies.
• Self motivated, independent contributor who can handle analysis and qualification of AI use cases in client-facing, ambiguous environments
• Hands-on experience developing agentic systems using LLMs, including tool use, function calling, multi-step reasoning, and orchestration
• Highly proficient in Python, Java, React and/or TypeScript and other tools
• Experience designing evaluation and guardrail mechanisms for non-deterministic AI systems
• Experience with agent frameworks and harnesses, vector databases, RAG, and orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with the public sector technology stack, SGTS and Standard Operating procedures and security needs of Public Sector

Forward Deployed Engineer – Junior and Midlevel  

Salary Offered: RM 8,000

This role will be focused on designing, deploying, and scaling AI-powered solutions for public Sector Working closely with experienced engineers and client stakeholders, you will handle real-world AI implementation, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices while contributing to meaningful business outcomes. The candidate will work across the solution lifecycle, from implementation and deployment to monitoring and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support customer engagements by helping design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered solutions.
• Contribute to the development of agentic AI workflows that interact with tools, systems, and multiple data sources.
• Develop and maintain production-quality code, integrating AI models and agents into cloud-based environments.
• Assist with monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuously improving deployed AI solutions.
• Support the validation of technical outcomes and communicate results to customer stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to transform prototypes into scalable, reliable, and business-ready solutions.

Prerequisites

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with strong experience in delivering enterprise class business applications.
• 1+ year of shipping AI or machine learning systems into production, with demonstrated hands-on agentic or LLM-based work.
• Hand on experience on full stack development tools and technologies
• Proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language such as Go or Rust.
• Familiarity with modern AI and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, data modelling, and system design principles.
• Experience contributing to software development projects using collaborative and version-controlled workflows.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and learning agility with a customer-focused mindset.
