Jr SWIFT Payments Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Summary

We are looking for a Jr SWIFT Payments Engineer to provide Level 3 application maintenance and production support for SWIFT-related solutions in a secure financial services environment. The role will focus on ensuring high availability, stability, and reliability of mission-critical SWIFT applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support for SWIFT solutions including AMH, AMG, and SAG.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.
• Handle incident and problem management activities, including root cause analysis and service restoration.
• Support application deployments, patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Maintain application stability in RHEL / Linux environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to resolve complex issues.
• Develop and maintain Shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.
• Use Control-M for job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and known issues.
• Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency across the SWIFT platform.

Mandatory Skills

• 3–5 years of relevant IT/application support experience.
• Hands-on experience with SWIFT AMH, AMG, and SAG.
• Strong experience with RHEL or equivalent Linux, such as SUSE Linux.
• Experience with Control-M job scheduler.
• Strong Shell scripting skills.
• Experience in production/L3 application support.
• Good troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience working in secure or regulated environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Knowledge of Java / Spring Boot.
• Exposure to JBoss Application Server.
• Experience with Apache Web Server.
• Experience working in Citrix environments.
• Knowledge of SWIFT MT message formats and ISO 20022.
• Understanding of encryption, 2FA/MFA, audits, and security practices.
• Previous experience in banking or financial services environments.
