About the Role

Our client, a leading global insurance organisation, is seeking an experienced Head of Risk Management to lead its Risk Management function in Singapore.

Reporting into senior leadership and working closely with regional and global stakeholders, you will be responsible for providing independent risk oversight, strengthening the organisation’s enterprise risk management framework and ensuring that key risks are effectively identified, assessed, monitored and managed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Risk Management function and overall risk framework for the Singapore business.
• Develop, maintain and enhance the organisation’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.
• Provide independent risk advice and challenge to senior management and key business stakeholders.
• Oversee the identification, assessment and monitoring of key risks, including insurance, financial, operational, strategic and emerging risks.
• Lead the development and monitoring of risk appetite, risk limits and key risk indicators.
• Support stress testing, scenario analysis and capital and solvency-related risk assessments.
• Provide risk insights and reporting to senior management and relevant governance committees.
• Partner closely with Actuarial, Finance, Compliance, Underwriting and other business functions.
• Work with regional and global Risk teams to ensure alignment with group risk frameworks and standards.
• Support regulatory requirements and maintain effective engagement with relevant regulatory stakeholders.
• Promote a strong and proactive risk culture throughout the organisation.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Risk Management within the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Risk Management, risk governance and insurance risk frameworks.
• Good knowledge of the Singapore insurance regulatory environment and MAS requirements.
• Experience operating within a multinational or regional insurance environment would be advantageous.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to provide independent challenge while maintaining strong business partnerships.
• Excellent communication, analytical and decision-making capabilities.
