About the Role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of our software applications through manual and automated testing. You will develop and maintain test suites, validate end-to-end functionality, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve software quality.

Here’s what a typical day will look like:

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and test suites using Playwright as the primary automation framework.
• Create and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications, including reusable test components, fixtures, test data, and reporting structures.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Prepare test documentation, test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness summaries for project teams and stakeholders.

About You - Applicants must be local Malaysian to be considered for this role.

You have a strong background in software testing and automation, with hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, JavaScript or TypeScript, and various testing methodologies. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying issues, with strong problem-solving and communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software. You will be successful if you have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience as a QA Automation.
• Practical experience in software quality assurance, test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and regression testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web application test automation.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, including writing clean, maintainable automation code.
• Experience designing, enhancing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and reusable test components.
• Understanding functional testing, UI testing, API testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and test data management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Git, Jira, or similar.
• Ability to analyse requirements, identify test scenarios, troubleshoot automation failures, and communicate defects clearly.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• Ability to manage tasks, priorities testing activities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
