Assistant Manager – Group Accounts
We are proud to be partnering with our client, a fast-growing regional payments infrastructure company headquartered in Singapore. With operating entities across several jurisdictions, accurate and timely group reporting is central to how the leadership team makes decisions. To support this, they are looking for an Assistant Manager, Group Accounts, whose core strength is group financial reporting and multi-entity consolidation.
Position Overview
Reporting into the finance leadership team and working directly with the CFO, CEO and department and country heads, you will own the consolidation of financial data across multiple group entities and jurisdictions into accurate, timely group management accounts and statutory financial statements. Beyond reporting, the role covers statutory compliance and process automation, but a strong technical grounding in group consolidation and knowledge of SFRS is a non-negotiable requirement. This role suits a proactive individual who is comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy while coordinating with local entity accountants across the group.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead the end-to-end group consolidation process and prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with SFRS, including consolidation adjustments, elimination entries and minority interest calculations. You will review, challenge and validate submissions from local entity accountants, perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, and own the group reporting calendar to ensure all entities submit on time for the consolidated close. You will conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on group performance to senior management, and support cash flow forecasting and budget and forecast consolidation. On the compliance side, you will own the statutory compliance calendar for GST/VAT, corporate income tax and other jurisdictional filings, coordinate international tax matters including cross-border VAT and transfer pricing documentation with external advisers, manage ACRA annual return submissions with corporate secretarial agents, and support external audits. You will also use tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, Excel automation and AI to streamline consolidation workflows and shorten close cycles, and act as a trusted finance partner to senior leadership.
The Successful Applicant
Hands-on experience in group financial reporting and multi-entity consolidation is mandatory, and candidates without it will not be considered. You will have a proven track record of preparing consolidated financial statements and management accounts for a group with multiple entities, ideally across more than one jurisdiction. You will have strong technical knowledge of intercompany eliminations, currency translation and consolidation adjustments under SFRS. You hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field and have 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, along with working knowledge of GST/VAT and corporate tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Proficiency in SAP or an equivalent ERP system is expected, and advanced Excel skills (Power Query and Power Pivot) are preferred. Experience with AI-assisted or automated finance workflows is a strong plus. You can work independently, manage competing deadlines, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-border teams. This is an on-site role in Singapore, and flexible working arrangements are not available.
