Full Time Finance Manager - APAC Region Jobs, Salary up to MYR 20,000 in Kee Safety Malaysia Negeri Sembilan - Maukerja

Having recently established a new company in Malaysia to further grow the APAC region, we are now seeking a Finance manager to oversee the finance functions initially of the Malaysia business, but over the next six to twelve months this role will also encompass two existing companies in Singapore.

The role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of 4 years finance management experience preferably in a small to medium sized construction company with oversight of all finance functions. It is a ‘hands-on’ role reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller and supporting the APAC General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Monthly Closings: Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closes with supporting analysis of variances, providing supporting documents reconciled to the monthly financial reports.
• Management Reporting: Prepare Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and cash flow statements to guide management decisions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: work with local management to prepare annual plans and forecasts for presentation to Divisional General Manager and Financial Controller.

2. Regional Tax & Statutory Compliance

• Singapore: Manage corporate income tax and Goods and Services Tax (GST) filings with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
• Malaysia: Handle compliance with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDN) and ensure adherence to local Sales and Service Tax (SST) regulations.
• Statutory Audits: Coordinate with external auditors and tax agents to finalize yearly financial statements.

3. Internal Controls & Operations

• Process Improvement: Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily banking operations, working capital, and intercompany settlements.
• System Optimization: work as part of the wider Finance function within the Division to identify and implement new IT systems to support the Malaysia and Singapore businesses.
• Credit control: Support the credit control functions in both Malaysia and Singapore.
• Daily reporting: prepare daily sales report ensuring compliance with revenue recognition. Prepare daily cash collection reports.
• Audit: support external auditors in completing the annual audit of APAC companies.

4. Business Partnering

• Collaborate with regional commercial and operational heads to support cost optimization, pricing strategies, and regional expansions.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education & Qualifications: A Professional qualifications like ACCA, CPA (Singapore), or MIA (Malaysia) are highly valued.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in finance, including experience managing full-set management accounts and financial planning, results analysis. Experience in SME construction companies or similar.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of local tax frameworks (LHDN/IRAS) and regional accounting standards.
• Language: Fluent spoken and written English is essential, fluent Malaysian desirable.
• IT Systems: experience of Finance IT Systems (ERP systems) and good Excel skills (at least intermediate skill level). Experience in implementing new ERP systems, though not essential, would be
• Soft Skills: Team skills and the ability to contribute to a small multi-function team covering commercial, technical, and operational functions. The ability to drive improvements and effectively implement changes.

Pay: RM15,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
