SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER (SHO)

SPA INTEGRATED SDN. BHD.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation, DOSH/JKKP requirements and company safety policies.
• Monitor daily construction activities and ensure compliance with site safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments and HIRARC reviews.
• Prepare, review and maintain safety documentation, reports, inspection records and statutory registers.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and safety awareness programmes for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with site safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, clients, consultants and relevant authorities on safety and health matters.
• Monitor emergency preparedness, corrective actions and overall safety performance at the project site.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering or a related field.
• Must possess a valid Safety and Health Officer (SHO) Green Book registration recognised by DOSH/JKKP.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Candidates with 5 years or more of working experience and a valid Green Book are preferred.
• Good knowledge of occupational safety and health legislation, construction safety practices and risk management.
• Good communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Disciplined, proactive, responsible and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willing to work at construction project sites in Kuala Lumpur.
