Olfera is looking for a hands-on, curious, and technically driven Hardware R&D Engineer to join us in developing a digital AI scent engine, an innovative technology at the intersection of AI, hardware engineering, and digital olfaction.

What you will do:

• Research and develop hardware components for our digital AI scent engine.
• Design, assemble, and test hardware prototypes.
• Create and refine 3D models of components and mechanical structures.
• Collaborate with the founding team to explore technical solutions, troubleshoot challenges, and improve product performance.
• Support hardware integration, prototyping, and iterative product development.
  

What we are looking for

• Knowledge or hands-on experience in hardware assembly, prototyping, and 3D modelling.
• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar software.
• A practical, experimental mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small, multidisciplinary team.
• Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and building innovative products from the ground up.
  

Nice to have

• Experience in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design, development, or testing.
• Experience with AI hardware development
• Familiarity with electronics, embedded systems, sensors, or hardware-software integration.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, 3D printing, or mechanical design.
