About us

Sunway XFarms is Sunway Group’s urban agritech company. We grow pesticide-free produce using hydroponic and controlled-environment farming, and we build and run farms for corporate clients across the Klang Valley.

The role

You’ll run all farm operations across our HQ farm and our mobile farms at client sites. You’ll lead the farm operations team and project management, and make sure we grow the right crops, in the right volumes, at the right cost.

What you’ll do

• Production: plan and run day-to-day operations across all farms, including planting schedules, nutrient management, harvesting and crop quality.
• Yield and cost: own yield, cost-per-kg and fulfilment targets, and track performance against them.
• Planning: turn customer demand into production plans, and manage contract farmer supply to fill gaps.
• Mobile farms: oversee operations and maintenance at client-site farms, including repairs, upgrades and planting plans, working with our business team on client needs.
• Systems: manage hydroponic (NFT) systems, greenhouse climate control and IoT monitoring.
• Crop health: lead integrated pest management, crop health monitoring and preventive maintenance.
• Team: manage and develop the farm operations team, and oversee project management of farm works.
• Reporting: report on production, yield and costs to management.

What we’re looking for

• At least 3 years in commercial farm operations, with management experience.
• Hands-on experience with hydroponics, ideally NFT, and greenhouse or controlled-environment growing.
• Comfortable with farm budgets, yield data and cost control.
• Experience with production planning and supplier or contract grower management.
• A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field.
• Able to lead a team on the ground and report clearly to management.
