Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, test and implement machine vision algorithms and vision systems
• Configure machine vision hardware, including cameras, lenses and lighting systems
• Interface vision hardware and I/O with machine equipment
• Develop, maintain and enhance software applications using Visual Studio C#, WPF and .NET Framework
• Troubleshoot existing applications and implement improvements where required
• Support machine setup, vision application configuration, testing and system buy-off
• Work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions
• Provide responsive on-site and post-installation support to meet customer requirements
• Effectively work within an Agile development environment
• Travel when required to support projects and customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or a related discipline
• Proficiency in C#, WPF, Python, .NET Framework and Object-Oriented Programming
• A strong foundation in software development principles and best practices
• Experience with HALCON HDevelop, Cognex VisionPro or other mainstream vision libraries will be an added advantage
• For experienced candidates, at least 2 years of software development experience
• Proven ability to understand customer requirements and independently manage assigned projects
• Willingness to travel when required
