Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Description
  • Handle daily accounting transactions, including invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, journal entries and financial records.
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice processing, payment tracking and customer collections.
  • Verify supplier invoices against POs, delivery orders and supporting documents.
  • Perform bank, customer and supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing, account schedules and financial reporting.
  • Monitor company expenses, project costs, outstanding balances and payment schedules.
  • Support project accounting, including project expenses, supplier costs, progress claims and project-related payments.
  • Assist with audit, tax and statutory requirements, including preparation of supporting documents.
  • Maintain accurate, organized and confidential accounting records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Project, Procurement and other departments on accounting and payment matters.
  • Support improvements to accounting processes, controls and documentation.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in full-set accounting is an advantage.
  • Experience in Engineering, Construction, Oil & Gas, EPC/EPCC or project-based companies is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with AP, AR, bank reconciliation, invoicing and payment processing.
  • Experience with accounting software / ERP systems is preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian accounting, tax and statutory requirements is an advantage.
