Responsibilities
Assistant Cook – Roles and Responsibilities
Assist the chef in preparing and cooking food.
Wash, cut and prepare ingredients for cooking.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
Assist with portioning and plating dishes.
Monitor ingredient supplies and report shortages to the chef.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
Follow food safety and workplace safety regulations.
Support daily kitchen operations and ensure timely food preparation.
Minimise food wastage and maintain an organised kitchen.
