Position - Onshore Software Engineer – AWS / Cloud Native

Location - Singapore

Role Overview

The Onshore Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, modernising, and supporting enterprise applications across Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Commercial Cloud (CC) environments.

The role requires strong experience in AWS cloud-native development, full-stack application development, APIs, microservices, databases, DevSecOps, CI/CD, containerisation, and secure software engineering.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Application Development & Modernisation

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications.
• Modernise existing applications through:
• Refactoring
• Re-platforming
• API enablement
• Progressive cloud migration
• Develop front-end and back-end application components.
• Build APIs, services, databases, interfaces, and integrations.
• Develop scalable, highly available, and resilient applications.

B. AWS & Cloud-Native Development

• Develop and enhance cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Use appropriate AWS managed services.
• Implement:
• Microservices
• Event-driven architecture
• REST APIs
• Containerisation
• Cloud-native design patterns
• Support application deployment and hosting in cloud environments.

C. DevSecOps & Automation

• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate software development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
• Implement DevSecOps practices throughout the software lifecycle.
• Maintain source-code repositories and version-control processes.
• Conduct code reviews and implement secure coding standards.
