Key Responsibilities

  • Clarify business questions, technical requirements, and success criteria with stakeholders.
  • Gather, prepare, and validate data from relevant sources.
  • Develop database solutions, analytical workflows, or models appropriate to the assignment.
  • Test outputs for accuracy, consistency, performance, and robustness.
  • Investigate anomalies and document assumptions, limitations, and dependencies.

  • Statistical Analyst: Strong grounding in probability, statistical inference, study design, and tools such as R, Python, SAS, or equivalent software.
  • Quantitative Analyst: Strong grounding in mathematics, probability, statistics, numerical methods, and programming relevant to the application domain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Database Developer: Experience with automated database testing, migrations, cloud databases, and deployment pipelines.
  • Statistical Analyst: Experience with experimental design, survey analysis, time series, or causal inference.
  • Quantitative Analyst: Relevant domain expertise, such as financial markets, portfolio analysis, pricing, or operational optimization.
  • Familiarity with large datasets, distributed computing, or performance optimization.
  • Experience with independent model review, governance, or monitoring.
  • Relevant postgraduate education or specialist qualifications.

Scope by Role

  • Database Developer: Owns the design and implementation of database components that support applications and data workflows.
  • Statistical Analyst: Applies statistical methods to produce reliable evidence and explain uncertainty.
