Who we are

Kuubiik Studio is an integrated marketing agency. We work with ambitious Singapore and APAC businesses, from founder-led companies to regional marketing teams, across finance, technology, skincare, hospitality, F&B and the built environment.

We're curious, opinionated and slightly allergic to "good enough." We care about the wrong shade of red, the campaign that isn't converting and the client question nobody has answered yet. Some of our clients are large and cautious. Others are founders who reply on WhatsApp at midnight. Many have stayed with us for years because we tell them what we think will move their business, even when it's not what they expected to hear.

The role

You'll own everything that moves. You'll cut client footage into short-form content and build the animated assets around it, working with our creative director, graphic designer and account team.

We're not looking for someone to execute edit notes. We're looking for someone who gets to know each brand well enough to have a view on it. That means:

• Understanding what a client's business is trying to achieve
• Spotting where their video is losing people
• Bringing ideas before anyone asks
• Arguing for them with reasons
• Checking what actually held attention
• Coming back with the next thing to try

If you've ever recut a video nobody asked you to recut because you knew the first three seconds weren't working, you'll fit in here.

What you'll do

• Edit client footage into short-form video for social and paid campaigns
• Create motion graphics, animated type, transitions and brand stings
• Cut multiple versions of an ad for testing, with different hooks, lengths and formats, and build reusable edit templates
• Adapt video across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube, whether that's a fast-cut F&B reel or a LinkedIn explainer a founder is proud to share
• Design for how people actually watch: sound-off, thumb on the screen, two seconds to earn attention
• Look at retention and performance data, and use it to shape the next edit
• Push a client's visual direction further than they asked for, when it's the right call
• Test new tools and techniques, and share what's worth adopting

On AI

We want someone who's genuinely curious about using AI tools, from generative video and image to auto-captioning, voice and editing assistants. Try the new thing the week it drops, find out what it's good at, and bring it back to the team.

Curiosity alone isn't enough, though. The real skill is knowing the guardrails:

• Keeping generated footage and motion on-brand
• Holding typography, colour, pacing and motion language to the guidelines
• Knowing when AI speeds up a concept, and when it tips into uncanny or generic

What you need

• Senior-level experience in both motion design and video editing
• Fluency in After Effects and Premiere Pro (or DaVinci Resolve), plus Illustrator
• Agency or multi-brand experience, keeping several brands and deadlines moving at once
• A showreel of short-form social work, including at least one piece you animated from scratch
• The judgment to work independently, and the confidence to disagree well

Nice to have

• Sound design and audio mixing
• Colour grading
• Experience with creator-led or social-first brands
• Familiarity with Singapore and APAC audiences
