We are looking for a Shipping Manager to oversee our end-to-end shipping operations and ensure goods move smoothly, efficiently and on time across international markets.

What Will You Be Doing?

As our Shipping Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading Shipping Operations: Manage and guide the shipping team to ensure smooth daily operations and timely deliveries.
• Managing International Shipments: Oversee shipment planning, freight bookings, cargo movement and delivery coordination.
• Freight Management & Cost Control: Work with freight forwarders, shipping lines and logistics providers to secure competitive rates and manage shipping costs.
• Shipping Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all shipping documents, customs requirements, import/export permits and regulatory approvals are accurate and complete.
• Shipment Tracking & Problem Solving: Monitor shipment progress, resolve delays and manage shipping-related issues, including demurrage, detention and cargo claims.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents and internal teams across different markets.
• Process Improvement & Reporting: Monitor shipping performance, improve operational efficiency and maintain accurate shipping records and reports.

What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has:

• Solid experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, Incoterms and shipping documentation.
• Experience managing sea freight and/or air freight shipments.
• Good understanding of freight rates, shipping costs, delivery schedules and logistics service providers.
• Experience supervising or leading a shipping or logistics team.
• Strong problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
• Good communication and negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines and operational challenges.
• Familiarity with shipping or ERP systems. Experience with CargoWise would be an advantage.
