Position Overview

Finance Manager - Commercial & Operations Finance

We are looking for a hands-on and analytical Finance Manager to join our finance team and work closely with the CFO and management team. This is more than an accounting role. We are looking for someone who can understand the numbers, identify issues and provide practical recommendations to improve cash flow, inventory, profitability and OPEX.

Roles & Responsibilities

1.         Prepare and analyse monthly management reports and financial performance.

2.         Manage cash-flow forecasting and working-capital analysis.

3.         Monitor inventory, stock ageing and inventory turnover.

4.         Analyse gross margin and profitability by brand/product.

5.         Monitor OPEX against budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.

6.         Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning.

7.         Work closely with Accounting, Sales, Purchasing and Operations.

8.         Improve finance processes, controls and reporting.

9.         Support the CFO on financial and commercial projects.

Qualifications

1.         Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

2.         > 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.

3.         Experience in distribution, FMCG, trading or inventory-based business is preferred.

4.         Commercially minded, proactive and able to turn financial information into practical actions.

5.         Strong analytical and Excel skills.

6.         Good understanding of cash flow, working capital and inventory.

7.         SAP/ERP experience is an advantage.

8.         ACCA/CPA/CIMA is an advantage.
