Senior Financial Reporting Executive (1-Year Contract)
Location: Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC)
Salary Range: RM6,000 – RM7,000

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Executive (Contract) to support the finance function across financial reporting, group consolidation, statutory compliance, and audit coordination.
This role is well-suited for finance or audit professionals with prior experience in group consolidation support, who are looking for a structured contract role with clearly defined, hands-on deliverables within a disciplined finance environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Closing Support
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities for individual entities within the group
- Prepare journals, reconciliations, schedules, and working papers for management reporting and audit
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Group Reporting & Consolidation Support
- Support group consolidation activities, including preparation of consolidation schedules and supporting workings
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations and eliminations under the guidance of senior finance personnel
- Support the preparation of group reporting packs and consolidation-related audit schedules
Statutory & Audit Support
- Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support audit and review processes
- Track and follow up on audit queries to support timely resolution
- Support statutory reporting and compliance documentation, including tax-related supporting schedules where required
Governance & Documentation
- Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record retention in line with internal controls and governance requirements
- Adhere to established finance policies, procedures, and reporting timelines
Ad-hoc Finance Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting schedules, and other finance-related tasks as assigned during the contract period
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline•
- Professional qualification (ACCA, MICPA, ICAEW) and/or MIA membership is an advantage
- Experience
- Approx. 3–5 years’ relevant experience in finance, accounting, or external audit
- Prior exposure to group consolidation (e.g. audit of group accounts, support for consolidation schedules, or group reporting activities)
- Experience supporting audits and statutory reporting is preferred
- Candidates returning from a career or maternity break are encouraged to apply, provided they have relevant prior experience in the above areas.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and consolidation concepts
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage timelines and deliver accurate outputs•
- Good written and spoken English
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; experience with accounting or consolidation systems is an advantage
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders
