Job Description

Requirements

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization, considering material availability, machine capacity, and labor.

  • Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and sales departments to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished goods, proactively identifying and mitigating potential supply chain disruptions.

  • Manage and control inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize holding costs while ensuring sufficient stock to meet production targets.

  • Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.

  • Effectively communicate production plans, schedules, and any deviations to relevant stakeholders, including production teams, management, and other departments, fostering strong team collaboration.

  • Utilize data analysis and problem-solving skills to address production challenges, implement corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards throughout the production process, working with the Quality Control team to maintain high product quality.

  • Possess 3-5 years of proven experience in production planning or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; knowledge of Mandarin is a significant advantage.

  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, considering material availability, machine capacity, labor resources, and order priorities to meet customer demand and production targets.

  • Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and operations teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.

  • Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow within the manufacturing environment.

  • Monitor production progress against schedules, proactively identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and ensure on-time delivery of finished goods.

  • Manage and optimize inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, utilizing inventory management techniques to balance stock availability with carrying costs.

  • Communicate production plans, schedules, and potential issues effectively to all relevant stakeholders, including production staff, management, and other departments.

  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss production challenges, contribute to problem-solving initiatives, and support continuous improvement efforts aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles.
