Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless system integration
- Develop scalable microservices-based applications
- Design and optimize database schemas using PostgreSQL
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA teams, and DevOps for end-to-end delivery
- Implement security and data protection measures
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
- Strong hands-on experience in Java (JDK 8 or above)
- Proven experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA
- Solid experience working with PostgreSQL (query optimization, indexing, performance tuning)
- Experience in building RESTful APIs and microservices
- Understanding of ORM frameworks like Hibernate
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git)
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker) is a plus
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
