Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Description This remote role combines responsibilities of AI Security Engineer, AI Security Researcher, and AI Security Architect, focusing on securing AI systems and their supporting infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing security controls for AI models, applications, and data pipelines, as well as performing threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews of AI architectures. The role involves researching emerging AI security threats, adversarial attack vectors, and mitigation techniques, then translating findings into practical tools and guidelines. The individual will collaborate with engineering, data science, and operations teams to integrate secure-by-design principles, conduct security testing, and support incident response related to AI and broader digital systems. The position is intended as a full-time commitment, with flexibility to work remotely while engaging with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Application Security, including secure software development for AI-driven applications, code review, and vulnerability identification.
  • Experience with Network Security, covering secure design of network architectures, segmentation, monitoring, and protection of AI-related services and APIs.
  • Broad expertise in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including risk management, threat modeling, security frameworks, and governance for AI systems and data.
  • Hands-on Security Engineering skills, with the ability to design, implement, and automate security controls across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, model lifecycles, data integrity, adversarial machine learning, and techniques for protecting training and inference workflows.
  • Proficiency with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, cloud security platforms) and scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with clear written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in security and AI.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, CCSP, or specialized AI security training) are beneficial but not required.
