Position: Senior Account Executive 

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Salary: Up to RM 5,000 per month

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle and check the full spectrum of accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and monthly financial closing processes, while ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting data. 
  • Manage and guide the accounting team to execute tasks effectively, ensuring alignment with the departmental goals and responsibilities assigned to you as a Senior Account Executive.
  • Ensure all accounting records and transactions are accurately maintained through manual accounting processes and documentation.
  • Review, analyse, and verify sales transactions, supporting documents, and financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow analysis to support management in monitoring company budgets, operational expenses, and overall financial performance.
  • Manages company’s forecast and budget.
  • To assist the management in ensuring improvement in accounting systems and processes.
  • Analyses and recommends SOP and seeks areas of improvement when required.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all control requirements are met on a timely basis.
  • Reconcile bank statements, perform intercompany and accounts reconciliations, highlight issues and follow up on reconciling items or outstanding matters.
  • Prepare and review Financial Accounting reports and reconciliations, provide variance analysis, highlight issues/concerns and follow up on reconciling items or outstanding matters.
  • Oversee the preparation of year end schedules. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and government-related matters including EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretary, and relevant regulatory authorities on audit, taxation, and statutory matters when required.
  • To undertake ad-hoc assignments or duties assigned by management when required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field above.
  • Minimum 2 years related working experience in maintaining full set accounts.
  • Candidates with experience in the retail industry will have an added advantage.
  • Experience in handling manual accounting records and processes with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulations set by the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB). 
  • Good understanding of Malaysian tax regulations, statutory compliance, payroll matters, EPF, SOCSO, and EIS requirements. 
  • Good leadership, organisational, and coordination skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently. 
  • Familiarity with office management procedures.
  • Responsible, efficient and structured with attention to detail.
  • Proactive in staying updated on the latest government policies, regulations, and industry trends related to accounting, tax, and finance to ensure compliance and informed decision-making.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google office suite, especially Excel and Sheets.
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo a 3 (three) months probationary period.
