Role Description The Design Manager (Electrical) is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is responsible for leading the electrical design function, including planning, developing, and reviewing electrical engineering designs and drawings for various projects. The Design Manager (Electrical) will coordinate with project managers, clients, and other technical teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory codes. Day-to-day tasks include managing design schedules, supervising design engineers and drafters, reviewing technical specifications, and providing guidance on design improvements and value engineering. The role also involves monitoring project progress, resolving design-related issues on-site, and supporting quality assurance processes to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering knowledge with experience in designing building or industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent) and ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience in project coordination and team leadership, including managing design teams and collaborating with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Familiarity with relevant Singapore codes, regulations, and safety standards related to electrical and M&E engineering.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional registration or accreditation is an advantage.
• Prior experience in a design management or senior electrical design role within the construction, industrial, or M&E sector is highly beneficial.
