The Role
Covering a broad portfolio of institutional clients across Malaysia, you will:
- Build and manage relationships with banks, insurers, asset managers, and sovereign or public sector entities
- Identify and originate new business opportunities, coordinating with product specialists to deliver tailored solutions
- Lead account planning, client strategy development, and the preparation of pitches and briefing materials
- Manage the KYC onboarding and recertification process, acting as the first line of defence in regulatory compliance and due diligence
- Collaborate with credit analysts and internal stakeholders to support credit review and committee processes
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of deal pipelines, transactions, and client activity
A commercially minded and client-focused professional who brings:
- Proven experience in financial institutions coverage, institutional banking, or a related client-facing role
- Solid understanding of KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative mindset with cross-cultural awareness
- High levels of integrity, sound judgement, and keen attention to detail
