Based in Kuala Lumpur's Office, the Head of Pricing (Actuarial) for General Reinsurance Underwriting. The person will report to the Chief Underwriting Officer.

Responsibilities

• Managing experience studies and assisting in deriving pricing assumptions for reinsurance business.
• Assisting in planning and managing team workflows in line with priorities.
• Supporting business units in handling reinsurance arrangements and queries including reinsurance inward and outward business on pricing.
• To work with Underwriting & Claims Department to perform competitor analysis on similar risks and services.
• To scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry conditions.
• To identify ideal pricing structures
• To draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects.
• To communicate findings effectively to relevant underwriters
• To work with the marketing team to define pricing structure for each reinsurance program.
• To address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial or Mathematics/Statistics with a Fellow or Associate in Actuarial qualification with minimum 5 years' experience working in General Insurance / General Reinsurance industry in a Managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge about the industry including competitors and market trends.
• Keen eye for identifying opportunity.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, detail conscious and analysis skill.
