AVP, Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

A well-established organization is looking for a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer at AVP level. You will keep the network stable, fast and secure, solve complex connectivity issues, and help shape the organisation’s infrastructure roadmap.

What you will do

• Recreate user-reported issues to diagnose and fix network and connectivity problems.
• Carry out root cause analysis and put workarounds in place until a permanent fix is ready.
• Track issues through to resolution and keep the system inventory accurate and current.
• Coach and guide team members in handling infrastructure incidents.
• Lead the rollout of approved infrastructure changes and scheduled maintenance.
• Track service-level objectives and make sure they are met or exceeded.
• Continuously tune and optimise network hardware and software.
• Manage, maintain and troubleshoot the SD-WAN environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business IT or a related field.
• Professional network and security certifications (e.g. CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Check Point CCSA).
• Hands-on experience with network management and monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, wireless LAN controllers, FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager.
• Working knowledge of cloud networking and architecture, ideally Microsoft Azure. Cloud certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
