Role Description

The Assistant Logistics Manager / Global Logistics Manager / Logistics Planning Manager coordinates the movement of goods to meet delivery, cost, and service objectives. Responsibilities include managing transport providers, monitoring performance, resolving disruptions, and improving logistics processes.

The Assistant Logistics Manager supports daily activities and team supervision. The Global Logistics Manager oversees international freight networks and provider relationships, while the Logistics Planning Manager develops capacity, routing, and distribution plans to balance demand, cost, and delivery reliability.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience in logistics, freight management, distribution, or transport planning.
• Understanding of shipment processes, warehouse interfaces, inventory flow, and carrier management.
• Ability to analyse freight costs, lead times, capacity utilisation, and delivery performance.
• Proficiency in Excel and relevant ERP, transportation management, or planning systems.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills for working with providers and internal teams.
• Ability to investigate disruptions, assess alternatives, and coordinate recovery actions.
• For assistant manager positions, experience supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and monitoring daily service delivery.
• For global manager positions, experience managing international freight, customs coordination, provider agreements, and logistics across countries.
• For planning manager positions, experience forecasting capacity needs, evaluating routes and network scenarios, and preparing contingency plans.
