Head of HNW Sales & Advice

An international wealth and insurance business is seeking an experienced professional to support the development and delivery of bespoke, insurance-based wealth solutions across Asia, with a particular focus on Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI).

Working with UHNW clients, family offices and professional advisers, the role will help design and implement tailored, cross-border solutions aligned to clients’ investment, succession and wealth-planning objectives.

You will play an important role in developing the business across Asia through strong intermediary relationships, new business development and the effective execution of complex, multi-jurisdictional cases.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Adviser Relationships

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with UHNW clients, family offices and professional advisers.
• Act as a trusted partner in the delivery of insurance-led wealth and succession planning solutions.
• Develop long-term relationships across the private wealth ecosystem.

Business Development

• Identify and originate new opportunities across insurance-based wealth solutions, including PPLI.
• Develop a strong pipeline through existing networks and targeted business development.
• Contribute to agreed new business and asset targets.
• Leverage relationships across banking, legal and professional adviser networks to generate opportunities.

Intermediary Engagement

• Develop and maintain relationships with:
• Private banks
• External Asset Managers (EAMs)
• Family offices
• Lawyers and tax advisers
• Trustees and fiduciaries
• Position insurance solutions within broader wealth structuring and succession strategies.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Support the structuring and implementation of bespoke insurance solutions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners, including insurers, custodians and investment managers.
• Ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with regulatory, governance and compliance requirements.

Market Development

• Represent the business professionally with clients, intermediaries and industry contacts.
• Support the development and distribution of market and product insights.
• Maintain a strong understanding of developments across the Asian wealth, insurance and regulatory landscape.

Experience & Skills

Relevant Experience

• Strong background in one or more of:
• Private banking
• Wealth management
• UHNW insurance solutions
• Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI)
• Proven experience working with HNW/UHNW clients and their advisers.
• Experience in Hong Kong, Singapore and/or the wider Asian wealth market.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of insurance-based wealth solutions, including PPLI and variable life structures.
• Knowledge of related wealth-planning structures such as trusts, FICs and Singapore family offices.
• Good understanding of investment and portfolio-based solutions.
• Knowledge of cross-border wealth planning, including succession and tax considerations.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks across Asian jurisdictions.

Network

• Established relationships across some or all of:
• Private banks and EAMs
• Family offices
• UHNW clients
• Legal, tax and fiduciary advisers

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline preferred.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Appropriate regulatory licensing in Hong Kong and/or Singapore preferred.
