About Our Client

Our client is a leading wealth manager looking to strengthen its business controls and compliance advisory capabilities. Sitting within the 1.5 line, this role partners with the front office and second-line Compliance to address risks, strengthen processes and develop practical solutions that support the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise the front office on business controls, compliance matters and day-to-day risk issues

• Translate regulatory requirements and internal policies into practical business processes

• Partner with second-line Compliance to resolve issues and support sound business decisions

• Identify control gaps and recommend improvements across the client and transaction lifecycle

• Support business initiatives by assessing risks and developing workable solutions

• Drive remediation and follow through on agreed actions

• Build risk awareness through guidance, training and ongoing engagement with the business

Requirements

• Relevant experience in business risk, internal controls or compliance advisory within private banking or wealth management

• Strong understanding of front-office processes and the client lifecycle

• Ability to interpret policies and apply them to practical business situations

• Solutions-oriented approach, balancing business needs with sound risk judgement

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and constructively challenge the business

• Comfortable working across front-office teams and second-line control functions
