Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in quality inspection within the construction and oil & gas industry, with a strong understanding of industry standards and procedures. This role is well-suited for candidates with a diploma-level qualification who are eager to contribute to ensuring project quality and compliance at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and quality checks on construction activities and materials in accordance with project specifications and standards
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation
• Report any non-conformances or quality issues and coordinate with the site team for corrective actions
• Conduct visual inspections and assist in dimensional checks, welding inspections, material verification, etc.
• Support the QA/QC team in implementing project quality plans and procedures
• Participate in site audits, inspections, and client walkthroughs as required
• Assist in verifying material certificates, calibration records, and other QC-related documentation

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Civil, or relevant technical field)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in QC inspection, preferably in the construction or oil & gas sector
• Familiar with relevant quality standards
• Basic understanding of construction drawings, procedures, and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Ability to use inspection tools and instruments effectively
• Familiarity with Petronas Technical Standards (PTS), OGSP, and Malaysian codes of practice is an advantage

Key Skills & Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote project locations
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a site-based environment
• Must possess or be able to obtain OGSP, CIDB Green Card, and other relevant certifications
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
