Role Description The Tender/Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in WP Kuala Lumpur. This position is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, reviewing tender documents, and ensuring that solutions meet customer specifications and industry standards. The role includes conducting site visits, gathering technical information, and coordinating with engineering and operations teams to design suitable automation solutions and cost estimates. The Tender/Sales Engineer will engage with customers to understand requirements, present solutions, follow up on quotations, and assist in contract negotiations. Daily activities also involve maintaining sales records, supporting after-sales inquiries, and contributing to sales forecasts and market analysis.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills for developing solutions, proposals, and post-sale assistance.
• Candidates should possess effective Sales and Customer Service skills to manage accounts, build relationships, and drive revenue growth.
• Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for presenting solutions, preparing documentation, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Relevant experience in industrial automation, electrical or mechanical engineering, or related technical fields is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic business software, with the ability to prepare professional proposals and reports.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites when required and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
