Role Summary
The Graduate Project Engineer supports the engineeringdevelopment and technical delivery of waste-gas abatement, industrial exhausttreatment and greenhouse-gas (GHG) abatement solutions under the guidance ofsenior engineers. The role provides structured exposure to client applicationanalysis, preparation and control of engineering documentation, technicalevaluation of equipment and vendor submissions, FAT and SAT execution, EHScompliance, inspection and testing, and installation coordination, commissioning and customer handover across semiconductor, solar, photovoltaic, battery, gas, chemical and other high-tech industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and organise client process data, pollutant information, exhaust conditions, utility details and site requirements.
- Support analysis of gas and chemical streams, includingcomposition, concentration, flow, temperature, pressure, moisture and relevanthazards.
- Assist with treatment-technology comparisons, basic calculations, equipment sizing, technical proposals, data sheets, P&IDs, layouts andequipment lists.
- Prepare meeting notes, engineering registers, technicalsubmittals, material take-offs, schedules and progress updates.
- Coordinate routine technical information with suppliers, subcontractors and internal engineering, procurement, quality, EHS and serviceteams.
- Check drawings, vendor documents and equipment data againstapproved specifications under supervision.
- Support FAT, SAT, inspections, leak and pressure tests, functionalchecks, interlock validation, start-up and performance qualification.
- Assist with FTIR testing, gas sampling and laboratory analysis inaccordance with approved protocols, calibration requirements and QA/QCpractices.
- Compile test results, identify deviations and supporttroubleshooting and corrective-action follow-up.
- Follow EHS requirements, permit-to-work procedures, risk controlsand hazardous gas or chemical handling requirements at all times.
- Maintain orderly project records, test reports, certificates,as-built information, O&M manuals and handover documents.
- Support client training, system demonstrations, commissioning andfinal handover.
- Participate in technical training and progressively developcompetence in abatement systems, industrial exhaust and environmentalcompliance.
