Job Summary
Support culinary operations by preparing food items to quality standards, maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, and following instructions from senior chefs to ensure efficient service.
Responsibilities
Follow instructions from Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs to complete assigned culinary tasks accurately and efficiently
Adapt work schedule to meet business needs, including availability for any day or shift
Focus on completing one task at a time to maintain quality and efficiency
Complete work lists assigned by Chef de Partie within the designated time frame
Ensure food items meet quality and sanitary standards by applying "First In First Out" (FIFO) kitchen practice
Store all food products correctly in designated fridges and containers during shifts to maintain freshness and safety
Maintain high cleanliness and sanitation standards in all culinary work areas and ensure colleagues clean their stations after each service
Use kitchen equipment safely and properly at all times and guide colleagues on correct usage
Preferred competencies and qualifications
At least 1 year of relevant culinary experience
