About Us

SG TVET Group has been developing skilled talent in Malaysia since 1999. We are launching a new Elderly Care training programme under the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) and building a dedicated care training lab. We’re looking for a passionate caregiver-educator to lead it from day one.

The Role

This is a hands-on teaching role with a rare chance to build something new. You’ll help set up our elderly care training lab, then lead the training of our first cohorts of caregivers.

What You’ll Do

Programme setup (first 3–4 months)

• Work with our contractor and suppliers to set up the care lab, including beds, hoists, bathing area and clinical skills bench
• Check equipment and materials against the NOSS Elderly Care Centre Operation Level 3
• Prepare training documents, lesson plans and records for JPK accreditation

Training delivery

• Teach and lead practical sessions for cohorts of 15 trainees
• Coach trainees on personal care, mobility and transfers, feeding, specific care procedures, safety and emergency response
• Maintain trainee logbooks, attendance and assessment records
• Mentor trainees during industry placement and support their job readiness

What We’re Looking For

• SKM Level 3 or higher in Elderly Care, OR a registered nurse with aged-care experience
• Vocational Training Officer (VTO) certificate, or willingness to obtain it (we will support you)
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a nursing home, care centre or home-care setting
• Experience training or supervising carers
• Comfortable teaching in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Organised, patient, and enjoys being on the training floor
