About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Executive / Assistant Finance Manager – Accounts Receivable & E-Invoicing to join our Finance team.
This role will be responsible for managing the Company's end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR), customer billing, e-Invoicing and collection activities. The successful candidate will ensure that revenue is billed accurately and on time, receivables are properly monitored, and outstanding payments are followed up effectively.
You will work closely with Project, Commercial, Sales, Operations, Procurement and Finance teams, as well as customers and external parties, to resolve billing issues and improve the Company's collection cycle and cash flow.
We are looking for a hands-on, analytical and detail-oriented Finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of the AR function and working independently.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Billing
- Manage the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and customer billing process.
- Prepare and issue invoices based on approved contracts, POs, billing schedules and project milestones.
- Ensure all billable revenue is captured accurately and within the required timelines.
- Monitor recurring and project-based billing to prevent missed or delayed invoices.
- Process credit notes, debit notes, billing adjustments and cancellations in accordance with approval requirements.
- Maintain accurate billing schedules, trackers and supporting documents.
E-Invoicing
- Manage the Company's E-Invoicing process and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
- Prepare, validate and submit e-Invoices within the required timelines.
- Monitor e-Invoice submission, validation, rejection and cancellation status.
- Investigate and resolve rejected or unsuccessful e-Invoices.
- Ensure e-Invoice information is consistent with accounting records and supporting documents.
- Keep updated on changes in e-Invoicing requirements and recommend necessary process improvements.
Customer Billing & Reconciliation
- Manage invoice submissions through customer billing portals and systems.
- Ensure invoices and supporting documents are submitted according to customer requirements and deadlines.
- Perform regular reconciliation of customer accounts, AR records and the General Ledger.
- Verify billing against contracts, POs, service records and other supporting documents.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between Finance and customer records.
- Monitor unbilled revenue and ensure eligible revenue is billed promptly.
Collection & AR Management
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and AR ageing.
- Follow up with customers on overdue invoices and outstanding payments.
- Coordinate with internal PICs to resolve payment issues, disputes and pending documentation.
- Track billing disputes and follow up until resolution.
- Escalate significant or long-outstanding accounts and collection risks to Management.
- Prepare regular AR ageing, collection and outstanding receivables reports.
Month-End Closing & Reporting
- Complete AR-related month-end closing activities accurately and within deadlines.
- Reconcile the AR sub-ledger with the General Ledger.
- Prepare AR schedules and supporting documentation for month-end closing.
- Provide accurate information for management reporting and financial statements.
Process Improvement & Finance Support
- Maintain accurate customer master data and billing information.
- Ensure AR and billing processes comply with Company policies and internal controls.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to billing, collection and reconciliation processes.
- Support Finance digitalisation and automation initiatives.
- Provide supporting documents for internal and external audits.
- Assist with SST, tax and other statutory requirements where applicable.
- Support other Finance activities and assignments when required.
Key Performance Areas

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification will be an advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, credit control or finance operations.
- Strong experience managing end-to-end AR and billing functions.
- Practical experience with e-Invoicing is highly preferred.
- Experience with customer billing portals and corporate customers is an advantage.
- Experience in AR reconciliation, month-end closing and ageing analysis.
- Experience with Odoo or other ERP/accounting systems will be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, billing and collection processes.
- Good understanding of E-Invoicing requirements and processes.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reconciliation and data analysis.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and month-end closing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong follow-up skills with a high sense of ownership and accountability.

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Internal Stakeholders: Finance, Project, Commercial, Sales, Operations, Procurement and Management
External Stakeholders: Customers, auditors, tax advisors, banks and other relevant parties
