Job Description
1. Technical Presales & Solution Design
Engage customers to understand operational requirements, technical constraints, and business objectives.
Recommend suitable IoT hardware, sensors, gateways, software features, and system configurations based on customer requirements.
Develop technical solution proposals and communicate system architecture, functionality, deployment requirements, and expected outcomes to customers.
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers and stakeholders.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical specifications for our Smart solutions.
Support proof-of-concept (POC) activities to validate proposed solutions before full-scale deployment.
Conduct site surveys to assess site conditions, floor plans, sensor placement,
gateway requirements, connectivity, and other installation considerations.
Determine suitable locations for sensors, gateways, feedback panels, and other IoT hardware.
Work with customers and technicians to identify installation constraints and develop practical deployment approaches.
2. Project and Product management
Manage projects from initial requirements gathering through planning, development, deployment, testing, and handover.
Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, resources, and requirements to ensure projects are completed according to customer expectations.
Manage changes to project requirements and coordinate with customers, developers, vendors, and internal teams to implement necessary changes.
Oversee the development and improvement of Smart solutions based on customer requirements, project feedback, and operational needs.
Gather and prioritise product and feature requirements from customers and project stakeholders.
Work with vendors to communicate requirements and follow up on the development of new features, enhancements, and system improvements.
Support and conduct product testing and user acceptance testing(UAT) to ensure new features and enhancements meet the required specifications.
Identify opportunities to improve existing products and solutions based on project experience, customer feedback, and system performance.
Maintain project and product documentation, including requirements, specifications, feature updates, and implementation records.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Management
Act as a technical point of contact between customers, sales teams, developers, and other vendors.
Gather and document customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications for internal and external teams.
Address technical enquiries and provide product and solution support throughout the sales and project life cycle.
Work with customers to propose solutions based on operational requirements and site conditions.
4. Project Implementation & Deployment
Support projects from presales through deployment, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Coordinate with various teams such as developers, hardware vendors, and customers to ensure successful implementation.
Support sensor installation, configuration, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
Monitor project progress and coordinate resolution of technical issues and changes during implementation.
Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, and handover materials.
5. Technical Vendor & Product Coordination
Liaise with hardware manufacturers, technology vendors, and development teams regarding product specifications, technical issues, customisation requirements, and new features.
Evaluate sensors, gateways, communication technologies, and other IoT products for suitability in customer projects.
Coordinate product modifications and technical changes required for project-specific requirements.
Support testing and evaluation of new technologies and solutions before deployment.
Assist in development of new platforms, features and improvement works.
6. Analysis & Solution Optimisation
Analyse data from deployed IoT systems to evaluate system performance and customer outcomes.
Prepare reports covering things such as water consumption, water savings, toilet usage, peak periods, cubicle utilisation, and other operational metrics.
Identify system issues and opportunities for improvement based on customer feedback and data analysis.
Provide technical recommendations to improve system performance, deployment, and customer experience.
Job Requirement
Diploma or degree in
Engineering, Information Technology, Computer engineering
, or a related discipline.
Strong interest in
engineering solutions, project implementation, and technology-related products
.
Able to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
Comfortable conducting
site surveys, technical assessments, testing, and on-site implementation
.
Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to resolving technical and project-related issues.
Able to coordinate with
customers, suppliers, contractors, technicians, and internal teams
to support project delivery.
Comfortable preparing
quotations, proposals, technical documentation, and project reports
.
Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders.
Organised and able to manage multiple projects, requirements, and deadlines.
Willing to travel to customer sites and support
installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
when required.
Able to work
independently
, take ownership of assigned projects, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn new products, solutions and technologies.
Previous experience in
engineering, technical sales, project coordination, or solution implementation
