Due to the continued expansion of our operations, we are seeking an
Accounts Executive
to join our Finance team in Singapore.
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of various Singapore entities within the Group, while supporting the Senior Accounts Executive and the wider Finance team where required. The role also provides exposure to Group reporting, consolidation, audit, taxation and the financial operations of our overseas subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
Handle full sets of accounts for various Singapore entities within the Group
Perform month-end closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, schedules and reconciliations
Process payments and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial schedules for assigned entities
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
Prepare and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions
Assist the Senior Accounts Executive with monthly Group consolidation and annual consolidation for audit purposes, where required
Liaise with external auditors, company secretary, tax advisers and other professional service providers
Assist with GST, corporate tax, audit and other statutory compliance matters
Support day-to-day finance operations and other finance-related duties as assigned
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification
At least
1 year of relevant accounting and/or external audit experience
Hands-on exposure to full-set accounting, month-end closing, bank reconciliations and preparation of accounting schedules will be an advantage
Candidates with external audit experience who are looking to transition into a commercial accounting role are welcome to apply
Good understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
Meticulous, organised and able to maintain a high level of accuracy
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude, initiative and willingness to learn
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of QuickBooks will be an advantage
Able to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team
Able to manage multiple responsibilities and meet reporting deadlines
