Responsibilities
Job Summary:
To lead and manage a team to perform: -
Credit documentation / administration, and line implementation functions;
Loan agency, loan operations / administration, account opening / maintenance, account servicing functions and PB products such as premium financing and Lombard loan.
Project management for credit, loan, account and PB operations
Supervise and manage PB Operations.
Job Description:
Credit Documentation
1. Supervise and monitor credit documentation and administration activities covering facility letter preparation and credit and security documentation.
2. Verify and authorize facility limit implementation and maintenance.
3. Oversee to ensure:
(a) effective control of all areas and monitor the accuracy and efficiency of daily operations.
(b) credit, security and collateral documents are properly and promptly safe-kept and lodged.
(c) all processes comply with Singapore and Hong Kong regulatory requirements.
4. Determine, report operational irregularities and formulate corrective actions, if any.
5. Establish:
(a) appropriate procedures for credit documentation and administration and update where appropriate.
(b) working partnership with colleagues in Operations HK on operations, product implementation and/or Head Office’s internal and external counsel on legal and documentation issues.
6. Review those covenants, terms & conditions and financial statements are tracked and monitored.
7. Improve processes and procedures so as to provide quality services to clients / front office and coordinate with other departments for the Bank/Branch’s achievement of targets/objectives.
8. Check and review the terms and conditions of credit approval and incorporate in credit documentation.
9. Prepare &/or check periodic reports to MAS, HKMA, HO and local franchise where applicable
10. Participate in projects including system implementations/enhancement, procedure review & streamlining, UAT and other ad-hoc tasks.
Loan Agency/Loan Administration/Account Operations/PB Operations
1. Ensure:
(a) all procedures established are strictly followed and to adopt changes whenever necessary with timely update of operational procedural manuals.
(b) team resources are monitored and fully utilized so as to maximize team productivity.
2. Monitor and maintain effective control of all areas and ensure accuracy and efficiency of daily operations.
3. Review and approve account opening/documentation, account data maintenance and any other account related transactions.
4. Verify and approve loan agency related transactions, loan draw down, rollover, repayment, fee amortization, loan transactions and PB transactions.
Job Requirement:
University graduate in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines is preferred.
Minimum 10 years of banking experience in credit documentation and administration, of which at least 5 years at supervisory level.
Experience in corporate credit and security documentation, banking operations and lending products as well as deposit account servicing activities
Familiar with collateral registration & lodgment procedures and requirements
Experience in loan administration functions
Understanding of all operational control standards and regulatory requirements particularly on AML/CFT
Proficient in MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel) programs, relevant system applications such as Core Banking System, IMEX, MUREX, ALS
