Job Description: DevOps Engineer (Platform Engineering)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer (Platform Engineering) to manage and maintain our AWS-based Kubernetes platform, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability services. The platform supports more than 100 microservices, requiring strong expertise in production operations, automation, scalability, and reliability engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain AWS EKS environments and Kubernetes platform services.
• Administer Argo CD, Kargo, Cilium, Karpenter, Crossplane, HashiCorp Vault, Amazon ECR, and Velero.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-based deployment workflows.
• Maintain observability platforms, including Grafana, Loki, Mimir, and Tempo.
• Perform platform upgrades, capacity planning, backup, disaster recovery, and resiliency improvements.
• Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and restore services.
• Automate infrastructure operations and improve deployment efficiency.
• Optimise AWS resource utilisation and cloud expenditure.
• Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to improve platform reliability and operational standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Kubernetes administration within production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, particularly Amazon EKS.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Good understanding of GitOps, CI/CD, and automated deployment practices.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, scripting, and automation.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Understanding of cloud networking, container security, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills.
