Key ResponsibilitiesA. Receiving and Checking Stock
- Receive incoming motor spare parts, accessories, lubricants, and other related products from suppliers.
- Check quantities, product descriptions, part numbers, and physical conditions against purchase orders (POs) and delivery orders (DOs).
- Report discrepancies, damaged items, incorrect parts, or missing quantities to the supervisor.
- Ensure all incoming stock is properly recorded in the inventory system.
B. Stock Arrangement and Storage
- Arrange spare parts according to product categories, part numbers, brands, and storage locations.
- Label shelves, bins, and storage areas for easy identification and retrieval.
- Maintain proper storage conditions to prevent damage, contamination, or deterioration.
- Ensure fast-moving items are accessible and stock is stored safely.
- Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, organised, and tidy.
C. Inventory Control and Record-Keeping
- Update stock-in and stock-out transactions accurately in the inventory system or Excel.
- Maintain accurate records of stock balances, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when items are running low.
- Assist in identifying slow-moving, obsolete, damaged, or excess stock.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and report any unexplained shortages or variances.
D. Picking, Packing and Issuing Stock
- Pick spare parts according to customer orders, workshop requests, or sales orders.
- Verify product descriptions, part numbers, quantities, and specifications before issuing stock.
- Pack items securely for delivery or collection.
- Prepare items and relevant documents for dispatch.
- Ensure stock is issued only against authorised requests or documents.
E. Stocktaking and Reconciliation
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, or periodic stock counts as assigned.
- Compare physical stock quantities against system records.
- Assist in investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Prepare stock count sheets and report findings to the supervisor.
- Support internal stock audits and inventory reconciliation.
F. Spare Parts and Product Identification
- Assist in identifying motorcycle and motor vehicle spare parts by part number, brand, model, and specifications.
- Check compatibility details when preparing stock for customer or workshop requests.
- Maintain accurate product labels and descriptions.
- Refer uncertain product identification or compatibility issues to the supervisor or relevant technical staff.
Job Requirements
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in stock control, inventory, storekeeping, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Experience in the motor or motorcycle spare parts industry is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stocktaking procedures.
- Able to use Microsoft Excel and basic inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Good attention to detail when checking quantities, product codes, and part numbers.
- Physically fit to handle stock and perform warehouse duties where required.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Honest, responsible, organised, and punctual.
- Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage.
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,700.00 per month
