Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Furniture Sales Designer to join our Singapore showroom. You will consult with clients, understand their design preferences and space requirements, and recommend suitable custom furniture and furnishing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with walk-in and appointment-based clients.
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, and product recommendations.
- Advise clients on furniture configurations, fabrics, finishes, and colours.
- Prepare quotations, process orders, and follow up with clients.
- Coordinate measurements, production, delivery, and installation.
- Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure project accuracy and timely completion.
- Provide a smooth customer experience from consultation to installation.
- Assist with showroom displays, merchandising, and visual styling.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of furniture materials, products, and design trends.
Requirements
- Qualification or practical experience in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Good understanding of furniture construction, ergonomics, carpentry, and production processes.
- Ability to advise clients on space planning, style coordination, functionality, and material selection.
- Experience in furniture sales, interior sales, showroom sales, or client-facing design consultancy is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to translate client requirements into practical design proposals.
- Basic proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar design software is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple client projects.
- Comfortable working on-site in a showroom and on occasional weekends when required.
